Journalism I predominantly write for The Guardian, Grazia, Glamour and have also written for The Independent, The Huffington Post, Metro, Prospect, Cosmopolitan, Buzzfeed, Dazed, Gal-dem and various others.
My area of speciality is social and political issues and explorations of identity in the form of longform features and opinion pieces.
My essay 'The Uncool Girl's Manifesto' is published in "I will not be erased: Our stories about growing up as people of colour", the first book for Gal-dem. Social and digital I have a background in Search Engine Optimisation (SEO), Pay Per Click (PPC) and Real Time Bidding (RTB), I have worked as social media manager for various companies, including Women in Journalism and The Student View.
Lecturing and talks I am also an Associate Lecturer of Journalism at Sheffield College and volunteer English tutor with Community Leeds After School Study Support (CLASSS). I have given talks and participated in panels at The University of Leeds, The University of Sheffield, York St John University and Leeds College.
Qualifications I am NCTJ-qualified (Gold Standard, University of Sheffield), a graduate of MA Journalism (Merit, University of Sheffield) and BA Creative Writing (1st class, Royal Holloway) and Scott Trust Bursary Alumni.
